If NCA is communicating with you, your account has been purchased by or placed with our team for collections. If you see our tradeline on your credit report, it is because we have acquired your account. Because NCA owns the account, your obligation is now due to NCA. Generally, we don’t credit-report until approximately 45 days from the time we acquire the account, and as a debt collector who purchased the account, we are required to report the open date for our tradeline as the date we acquired the account.
